Stonebrook Farm is located in scenic Bland Virginia, surrounded by the Appalachian Mountains. Our riding arena and stalls are completely indoors, allowing us to ride in comfort year around. We offer personalized training in the Saddlebred tradition by Leslie Melvin. After years of training and lesson experience Leslie opened Stonebrook Farm in 2007. She has been awarded the UPHA Chapter 18 Horse Person of the Year and ASHAV Trainer of the Year. Leslie's true talent lies in challenging riders without sacrificing the fun of the sport.

Training American Saddlebreds is the main objective of Stonebrook Farm.  Under Leslie’s supervision weanlings, young horses and older horses are started and kept in peak performance condition for the show ring.  Leslie also instructs small children through adults in her lesson program. Leslie believes in setting realistic individual training goals for both horses and riders. This helps give each the attention they need in different areas. Leslie works with riders from academy to performance riding to achieve these goals. The staff reinforces her techniques, we all work together to reach peak performances. She creates a supportive group of friends and fellow riders to foster good sportsmanship, have fun and grow together. Both riders and staff work hard to advance #teamstonebrook from the youngest to the oldest members.
